The scent, in full
Opens with a deep, velvety rose, then darkens through oud and clove before settling on a sweet praline base. Rich, bold, and a little dangerous — a rose that's been taken somewhere darker. Not soft or pretty; this one has presence.
- Top Notes: Damask Rose
- Heart Notes: Agarwood Oud, Clove
- Base Notes: Praline
Scent Family: Oriental — damask rose up top, a dark oud-and-clove heart, and a sweet praline base. The rose makes it floral at first, but the oud and sweetness are what define it.
Deep rose and dark wood from the first moment, with a sweet, sticky warmth underneath — it makes a space feel bold and grown-up, the kind of room you notice the second you walk in.

Full policyCandle care
Light it right and it'll burn clean and even:
First Burn: Let the wax melt all the way to the edges, about 2–3 hours. This sets the candle's memory and prevents tunnelling.
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn - long wicks cause smoke and uneven burning.
Don't burn more than 4 hours at a stretch; past that the wax overheats and the fragrance dulls.
Stop when ½ cm of wax is left to protect the jar.
When you're done, the jar's yours - scoop out the leftover wax (warm water helps), peel the label, reuse it.

When to light it
For nights you want to feel a little dangerous in..
9pm onwards — specifically on an evening that feels like it deserves something special.
Why this hour
- This is your most dramatic scent, so give it a dramatic hour.
- Sweet Ruin fills the room with deep rose, dark wood, and a sweetness that doesn't apologise — best when you want the space to feel rich and a little indulgent, not calm.
- A candle for nights with intent.
Atmosphere
What it changes in the room.
“Dressed-up evenings in, a glass of something dark, the night you want the room to feel as bold as your mood”
Deep rose and dark wood from the first moment, with a sweet, sticky warmth underneath — it makes a space feel bold and grown-up, the kind of room you notice the second you walk in.
Cold throw · Hot throw
In the jar. In the room.
A candle has two scents — the one waiting in the jar, and the one that fills the room once it burns. Every Pavos batch is tested for both.

Cold throw
The first impression before the flame.
What you smell when the lid comes off — on the shelf, in your hands, before the flame. The opening notes, cool and unburned, hinting at where the candle will go once it's lit.

Hot throw
The scent once the wax begins to melt.
The full character of Sweet Ruin, carried across the room by a warm wax pool. As the wax melts, the scent opens to its complete depth and reaches well beyond the jar — and it holds from the first burn to the last, not just the first ten minutes.
Tested through the whole burn - so it's still there when the room actually needs it.
